Be comfortable during your pregnancy

From conception to birth, you’ll experience a lot of changes in your body while your baby is growing and getting ready to meet you. Many women are feeling great throughout most of their pregnancy, some experience minor twinges, but quite a few develop discomforts at different times that can really take the joy out of this journey.

Your obstetrician or nurse midwife will be hesitant to prescribe medications to you for relief because almost none of these pharmaceutical drugs have been clinically tested in pregnant women and are therefore not known to be safe during pregnancy. There is concern that a wide range of these drugs may harm the fetus. As a result, treatment options in conventional medicine are quite limited, and women are often just told to wait it out. Fortunately, you have other safe choices.

Natural medicine offers you alternatives

We use several different approaches rooted in Chinese medicine and naturopathy to support you during pregnancy and alleviate discomforts. A wide range of health concerns can be safely addressed with acupuncture.
